Following US regulations on Indian exports, shipments to the USA may incur supplementary customs clearance fees, import duties, or local tariffs payable directly by the customer. Potential transit delays may occur due to extended customs inspections.
For all other overseas destinations, consignments are subject to import clearance in accordance with local national laws. Any customs duties, clearance charges, or import taxes remain the sole responsibility of the customer.

1. Delivery Timelines & Fulfillment
Standard In-Stock Sarees: Delivered within 7 working days from the date of formal order confirmation.
Pre-Orders & Bespoke Weaves: Pre-ordered sarees are shipped after a minimum of 20 days, or as soon as the handloom weaving process is completed—whichever is earlier. Timelines for intricate bridal orders vary with weave complexity and are finalized during checkout.
Note: Delivery schedules are estimates. Unforeseen occurrences beyond our control—such as courier logistics bottlenecks, extreme weather, strikes, or regional customs inspections—may cause delivery date variations. Full tracking credentials will be shared via email upon dispatch.
2. Packaging Dimensions & Standards
Every handwoven drape is packed in specialized protective cartons to ensure it arrives in pristine condition:

If your shipping address is located outside standard courier grids, special arrangements will be arranged once complete address particulars are emailed to [email protected]. Products checked out in a single cart cannot be split across multiple addresses; separate orders must be placed for each delivery destination.
3. Insurance & Parcel Acceptance Protocol
100% In-Transit Insurance: All shipments are fully insured by vkmsilks.com (M/S Shadhan Creations Private Limited) against theft or transit loss at no extra charge to you.
Important Acceptance Requirement:
All sarees are shipped in tamper-evident sealed packaging. If the carton appears damaged, torn, or opened upon delivery:
- Do not accept the package from the delivery personnel.
- Capture clear photographs of the damaged condition immediately.
- Hand the parcel back to the courier executive for return processing.
4. International Non-Acceptance & Returns
If an overseas parcel is refused or returned by the destination courier due to unpaid customs duties, regulatory non-compliance, or recipient unavailability, refunds will be calculated after deducting round-trip return shipping costs incurred by the courier.
5. Delivery Hours
Our logistics partners deliver between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. Working days do not include Sundays or officially declared statutory public holidays.
6. Statutory & Legal Notice
VKM Silks is a proprietary commercial brand owned and operated by M/S Shadhan Creations Private Limited. The company reserves the right to disclose shipping consignee information to local, state, national, or international law enforcement bodies when mandated by applicable law or judicial decree.
